A studio devoted to the surface.

The Color Story was founded by Vikash Rajput on a single belief: that a wall or floor should be felt, not just seen. We work exclusively in mineral, hand-applied finishes — the slow, honest craft of lime, plaster and concrete.

Every project begins on site, reading the light and the architecture before a single sample is made. The result is surfaces with depth, character and a quiet luxury that machine-made materials can never imitate.

We visit the space, read the light and understand the architecture, then advise the finishes that will sing in it.

Sampling

Hand-made sample boards in your shortlisted tones, viewed on your own walls until the palette is exactly right.

Surface prep

Substrates are repaired, levelled and primed — the unseen groundwork that makes a flawless finish possible.

Application

Layer upon hand-troweled layer, built and burnished by our artisans over the days each finish demands.
